I have to reset my Exede very often sometimes 4 to 5 times every week in order to get my Directv to connect to WIFI. What could be causing this?

If your DTV installer hooked it up with a broadband or wireless you can run into this issue. You are getting IP address conflicts. Also be very aware Dtv receivers run data even when they are shut off. Double check that you are not chowing down on your data allowance.

If just your DTV is dropping then your receiver is not getting a strong enough signal from your WiFi. If other devices are dropping, then it could be your WiFi. If the modem lights all drop out, then it is your modem. If you have a Cisco Linksys router, definitely the problem. We have found that these routers keep dropping the signal.
