Dated article about Viasat-2's insurance

I found this interesting. If true, Viasat-2 is insured for north of $500 million. If they file a claim for north of $300 million, that doesn't sound to me like it is operating at only 13% less capacity. And I think the plans announced to date say the same. Time will tell of course. The earnings call will be interesting!

Viasat has not filed a proof of loss with respect to the ViaSat-2 satellite. Strict confidentiality provisions governing the insurance policy and any claim information prevent us from commenting any further.
