I have to add to the ongoing conversations regarding Data Useage (at least what Excede reports) On May 1st at 10am in the morning I checked to see my useage (remember useage meter was reset at Midnight on April 30th )  All of my wireless devices were turned off at 11:30Pm the night of the 4/30/15.  Got up  and went to work without turning any wireless devices on.  Check the useage meter at 10AM and it reported that I had used .9GB while I wasn't there and all devices turned off.   Called customer service and all they could tell me is that at 6:15AM there was useage. The only problem is no one gets up until 6:30 AM and again we did not turn on any devices. So there is no way we used any of their service.   

I have had this happen mulitple times and each time I ask, tell me what web site, how long and how much data did I use for any specific time and they never ever give me this.   They are essentially saying trust us when they report how much data we say you used.  Well I don't trust them anymore.  

We have turned off all of the automatic window updates, the autoplay of videos on facebook etc.  We don't download or stream movies or music nor do we play online games.  Its just web browsing and facebook.   Help

We have the same issue, and have had for months!  We've had Exede for almost 2 years now, and for the longest time, never came close to our allotted amount of bandwidth.  Since about October 2014, all of a sudden we're coming very close or going over the 15G we pay for a month.  I've contacted support, only to be told that our usage is
"Web Browsing - 50%
Media(Video or Audio) -30%
Social Networking - 15%
Other - 5%"

Not a real help.  We don't stream movies/music.  We rarely download program updates outside of the free zone.  Our computer usage is mostly email, Facebook, craigslist, etc.  I don't really see how we can possibly go through the amount of data we are told we are using.  Our previous provider had a daily cap of 300M.  We very rarely went over that cap.  Using that as a reference, 10G should have been enough for us, and was for a while.  I sincerely don't understand how so much data is being used when we mostly use the internet for basic browsing.

Same with me!! I lived for 7 years in my old house and used 4G a month. I moved here; signed up with these guys through DirectTV and by the 5th-7th of each month they send an email saying I've used 14G!! I even, according to them, use 14G in Feb before I even moved in. I feel it's an excuse to slow the speeds down to a crawl.
