How have your speeds been after going over priority data?

In the evening time when more ppl are online my speed usually is anywhere from 7-15 mbps after going over priority data unless there is a outage affecting speeds than sometimes its less that 1 mbps for a few until they get it fixed! But late at night and during the day after going over prority speed is anywhere from 25-60 mbps and right now at 2:15 EST without going over data my speed is 69 mbps I have used 13.1GB so far since Saturday!

It's crazy how fast data adds up when a person doesn't think about it much with a faster connection.  I'm a little over a week into the new VZ unlimited prepaid plan.  A few Steam updates (I don't game, but keep games for company, get some when they're cheap/free), plus I let my Mom try out Hulu, she's been doing some of that, almost 90GB so far.  I'm getting a new black friday special router so that I can limit the speed to her Fire stick (I see no reason for it to go that high of quality, even if unlimited), might set it down to like 3 or 3.5 meg or so and see.  My old connection at 2.5 settled in and did "good" with streaming, what little I did.

Lot of Black Friday streaming specials. I picked up a second Roku. I have a Chromecast device which I have used only a couple times, but Roku is a nice little device. It is pretty much a waste.

Cant speak for the Firestick but I do I do Amazon through the Roku.

I've been debating picking up a Roku Ultra myself, I won't use voice commands much so whether it uses Alexa or Google assistant doesn't matter much (and I can easily pick up how either work).  Fire has issues with Google stuff like youtube, but easy to get around most of that (sideloaded youtube app works, can control it from a sideloaded youtube app on a Fire tablet in addition to the remote, so it works well enough).  Easy to get Kodi on a Fire, but unless pirating, which I won't, I don't think I'd use much with that.

Amazon is out of stock now, but if you have certain American Express cards, pay with at least some reward points, you get an additional 20% off anything sold and shipped by Amazon (I think up to $500 purchase for max $100 off, I've still got a little left after the last couple days...).  So the Ultra would be $42.19 (estimated with tax), and while I type this, guess I'll do it....

I was thinking a Chromecast for a while.  I was using VZ's unlimited plan on the phone (with capped speed hotspot), and Windscribe's Winflix server was working to bypass the video restrictions.  But since VZ has this new plan for jetpacks with HD streaming and no caps (and hopefully keeps it), I think it's handier using a stick/device of some sort.

I think I like the Roku better, but haven't spent much time with it.  The Ultra remote turns the tv off and on and also works for the volume.  The search gets better results, Fire isn't bad, but this seems to find free stuff better, also better results across more services, not being as focused on buying/renting from Amazon.

I've also finally started using the lifetime Playon subscription I got months ago.  Seems to work well, recordings look great with the new internet.  Plex on the desktop to Roku as well as Android phone works fine, not much to setting it up, haven't tried it without an internet connection yet, just tested to see how everything works.  As little tv as I get around to watching, if I get too many things recorded I won't need to think about streaming much.

I have Roku and Chromecast. Hardly ever use the Chromecast. And I have smartv's and Blu Ray players with a lot of the same functionality, but Roku I the most.

I'm pretty partial to the FireTV stick but I also have a Echo Dot that I use as a command hub for my lights, timers, etc and to turn on the TV/play shows. Slowly but surely getting to a Iron-Man Jarvis-style system.
