I don't care if you live in the country and have to climb a tree to get signal do not get this service! I have had it for less than 3 months and my data has been gone in 3 to five days. I told the company it was for gaming only and was told it would work fine. Lie! My fault for not reading the full contract or checking about the gaming but I trusted their knowledge that it would work fine. Know I have to pay $300 to get ride of the crap service. I believe they make more money on disconnecting rather than monthly fees because I can't imagine anyone keeping this service. I plan on putting the word out. When you live in the country people listen to what works and what is a scam!

I was told the same when i first got the service...Although, this is the best service where I currently live at. If* there was another service provider that was better then Exede // Wildblue, "I would certainly switch."

Further More, I have the same problem. First 2 days and 15 gigs used even though it was used during the free zone : / I called and asked, "When was the data used?" They always seem to reply, "Our server is down or some other crap."

O by the way peeps. When my data is used up I get about 12kbps usually on download....Sometimes I think about switching back to dial-up. 

I hope one day there will be an unlimited bandwidth package but at a slower speed. 1mbps would be plenty for me.

I know what uses it, online gaming that lags and will not work with our internet. I am mad about being told gaming works fine and guess what, it doesn't! That is false advertising. They new I had DSL internet and told me I would love this one. Lie, scam!

I know download uses data. I was referring to the fact it wouldn't need internet after downloading to play. I've done that many many times using my cell as the wifi and it didn't even use a gig. The guy that installed told me that exede would use less data than my cell bc it was calculated differently. I was very very misled about this service.

The company that sold it to are the ones that told me it works for gaming. I felt like it was a reputable company and didn't check in to it. That is why I am going on every social media site and have a sign in my yard not to use this service! I am stuck with it for know because I am not paying $315 to get ride of something that I was mislead on to begin with.

Did you buy your Exede service directly from Exede, or did you buy it from one of the many resellers?

Shouldn't your anger be directed at the re-seller for giving misleading information?
The latency inherent in a satellite connection is well known and will prevent playing of fast action games.

Tonya, many online games do not work very well, or at all using satellite internet. Games can us very large amount of data, depending n the amount of action in them. Also, because of the latency that comes with satellite internet, there is a 650 or more delay, which in action games, means you will have very bad experiences, since you are  no really playing in real time.

On the Exede.com website, there are good explanations of using Exede for gaming. Had you researched that, you would have known that Exede would not play well with gaming. Satellite internet is for those who have no other options for internet access. Those who have access to DSL, cable of FIOS should not subscribe to the satellite internet option.

If you would have read my statement I said I should have researched but I didn't instead I just took the word of the person selling it to me!

Tonya if you  have had this service for only a month or two maybe Exede will discuss the matter with the reseller who may have misrepresented the Exede system and work out a solution, ie disconnect for no charge.

Ask them to do that.  And let us know the results.
