My dish and modem have been down for over a month now and your web site is showing that I'm still using data. 250mbps your scaming people. If anyone wants a fairly new Exede dish and wireless modem I got them. I wish the dish was deeper I would make a bird bath out of it.

I'll give you $100 so I will have a new toy to play with but you're not going to like it when Exede charges you $300 to replace the missing equipment.

If your system has been "down" as you describe it, then the modem cannot update the Exede system and you will forever see the last usage the modem reported.  Your usage is stored in the modem and right now you have it locked away so be careful calling Exede a bunch of crooks.  YOU disabled their ability to report an accurate usage to you.

I pulled the dish out of the ground in Oct. After going with a different carrier the modem was put back in the box before then in Oct my data usage was 350 hasn't been used sense so where did the 215 come from?

Why is your account still active at all? Did you cancel? Return the modem back to Viasat?

You are not paying by the megabyte. I fail to see what you think they are stealing from you?

If they are applying data to his unused account that is no longer connected then it seems likely they are doing so to current customers would seem to be what he's suggesting. He seems to be concerned that exede is screwing active customers.

Sounds like the original poster is the one who is stealing. That dish and modem are property of Viasat.

That's over the top. He's stealing because he still has the dish that they put on his property. He's also mailed back the equipment they sent a box for. You can be a exede fan as you wish but its more than clear there's something hinky and is not on his part.

The OP never said that he returned the modem and TRIA to Viasat and, clearly has not canceled the account.

I would assume the system is simply estimating usage based on the last known usage since the modem is not connected and, cannot report usage - even if that's zero. It only has past usage to go on so, that is likely the average for that many days into the billing cycle for that account.

As to why the OP has not simply canceled service and returned the equipment, I don't know, unless of course he is actually using it occasionally in conjunction with his other provider. That or we may need a fresh can of Troll remover in here. *Shrug*
