Has Exede made changes to its Data Allowance Policy recently? I've seen mentions about something like that on other forums but I couldn't find any details at all. Any insight would be appreciated, thanks

I have heard rumors, but if you log into your data usage page and it doesn't show up, or if you put your zip code into exede.com and don't see a plan change, I'd say nothing has changed for you, yet.

Just to be clear, I'm talking about their policy for when you go over your limit, I've read a couple posts suggesting that it is way less severe, I've already heard of their Freedom plans I can't wait until they are available in my area.

I've been trying to find this out too and I can't find any details. I'm real curious what the difference is.

The changes in the DAP only involves those subscribers that are on the Evolution plan. The change has made it possible for those on the Evolution plan who have gone over their limit to still access sites like HULU, Netflix, etc., to get to the basic websites, but still does not allow them to download videos or music. It was a necessary change because part of the selling point of the Evolution plan was unlimited access to website browsing, but limited data for downloads. Previously some of those sites were blocked when a person went over their data limit, not allowing people to check their accounts or order DVDs. These changes do not affect users on other plans. There was much discussion about this problem in the months past, and thanks to the efforts of Exede Alex, he worked with the programming staff to get this fixed. Once again, all the Exede Moderators do a great job in helping the subscribers with their problems. Great job folks!
