Customer service trouble

As far as I'm concerned Exede is a joke. They took funds out of my account for extra gigs that I didn't authorize. When I called them, they even confirmed that I had not authorized the additional purchase, but still refused to refund my money. It took me two days, countless hours, a call to my attorney, and finally getting someone with good sense, and then they give me an account credit. What? You took the money out of my account unauthorized, and one of YOUR supervisors confirmed that. Maybe you should consult with your counsel, because according to mine, that is theft. I authorized monthly payment, and you took it upon yourself to take more than credit my account. I'm on a fixed income and that is highly unethical business behavior. I had to contact everyone in the company for two days before I even got a account credit. I'm sorry but I'm dead to right and I should have got the money back in my bank, and compensation for all the trouble I was put through. I was treated like crap on the phone even after I said I had an email saying that the gigs were free. I don't like being told that I don't matter or that I'm a liar. I think after all that I should be given free internet for a year, but that will never happen because Exede never does anything wrong. Lord help us.

account credit hell, I would demand they put the unauthorized funds back in my account as it was before it was taken out and that you do not have any interest as a "Credit"  when they "Credit" it sounds like they are doing YOU a favor.

Right!!! And after all the hassle and knowing that I clearly could have sued, they didn't even apologize. NOTHING!!! I'm still considering filing against them, because it's such a clear case plus to be disrespected too. I'm going away for a family funeral now so maybe they will come to their senses and make things right. A lawsuit will cost them big, but free internet for a year or two will cost them nothing. I seriously doubt that they are that smart though.

Well i see that this company is just like most and worse than others. I call yesterday morning and had them hold off on takeing my payment till Saturday to not be overdrafted and they said that was fine then hours later they took my payment out anyway . now im overdrawn $240 and they say oh well sry obout your luck. Thinking i might have to end this before it gets started...

@fonda if you have a business plan, then you did in fact authorize the 10.00 per extra GB to be billed automatically when you signed up for a business plan.

If you have a residential plan, then yes, Exede may be in error. Email exedelistens@viasat.com with your account info and, they can look into it, and, I'm sure get it corrected.

I am on a residential plan and they still treated me with disrespect. I know that they were wrong and so do they, but it seems like that they could care less about their unethical behavior. I'm discussed with their behavior and the way I was treated.

Did they refund the cost of the unauthorized GB for you yet? If not please email your problem and, account information to exedelistens@viasat.com.

That really does help. I had an overcharge issue several months ago that was caused by auditors rejecting refunds reps authorized. It took emailing the team here (this forum) to get that fixed.
