I just had this service installed on Thursday and its Saturday of the same week and I hate I ever signed with this company.  The customer service is just as bad, rude and cavalier.  I rather owe them and rip this dish off my roof.....not paying for the next month....consider it debt.....

Good luck John. I have been with them for 5 months and regret every minute of it. their 10 gb lasts 4 days. I tried an experiment last month and pretty much kept modem off except for a few minutes a couple times a week, 10GB ran out in 8 days with almost no usage. I have had 3 modems and 1 new sat eye put in since I started with them, and last month was first time their service men haven't had to come out and replace their equipment. Their customer service will say anything to get you off the line. I have 5 recorded conversations with them flat out lying. As soon as the fiber optic is run here in our community, I will drop them, and since I have recorded conversations of them breaching their contract, I wont owe them a dime. I suggest everyone record every conversation with them, Guarantee they will lie to you. If you have other options for internet John, I would use them.

The evolution plan that I started with was ok but they took it away and substituted the liberty 10 plan. That is used up in 2 days. I am terminating after 3 years and they make it very difficult to return the part s because they won't send the box until after cancellation when we will have already moved.

I've been with them going into six years and the first two years were great but they slowly started to go down hill after that with a slow connection, freezes, GB's flying out even though we didn't do any downloads. Then the 12-5 AM started to go down hill too. It's so slow now that I don't even bother trying to use YouTube or Netflix anymore. Since they also have the 3-8 FT for some, you can't do anything till after 8 AM every morning because of the congestion. They have filled up their satellites and that is why the service is so bad. The promises they made for 2016 never came to fruition. I have no other choice so I'm stuck.. I used to be one of their strongest supporters but no more. I would not recommend it like I used to .

Exede was first offered in early 2012. Prior to that we had Wildblue, with speed offerings of 0.5, 1.0 or 1.5 Mbps packages. I started with Wildblue in April 2008 and upgraded to Exede in April 2012.

While it is true that ViaSat1 was launched in October 2011, it was not until Mach 2012 that the Exede service was offered to subscribers. Commissioning of the satellite and ground systems takes several months after the launch is performed.

See this article by ViaSat from March 2013 about the 1 year anniversary of ViaSat1 https://www.viasat.com/news/one-year-anniversary-exede-satellite-internet-service-launch
