Hi brella,
For about 15 hours a day, your speeds will likely be pretty good. During “peak” hours when the Viasat network is busiest – roughly 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. – there is less bandwidth available, causing speeds to be much slower. Think of it as more cars on the highway, causing slower traffic.
Times are approximate. it may start and end sooner in your area. Have you used all of your priority data?

Diana, I no longer have Exede so I guess I need to figure out how to unsubscribe this post. I started this post a year ago. Anyways, you're right. My speeds where below 1mbps starting in the afternoon until the wee hours of the morning. I had the freedom plan 25 Mbps with 150 gb of data for a few months. I never came close to going over. It was always congestion. With alot of speed test documentation and an fcc complaint, I was released from the contract without penalty. Now I have WISP with 8 down and unlimited data that never gets throttled. I really wanted Exede to work, and might try again if it gets better. Thanks
