So for the last three days my internet speed has been so slow that it will not even complete a speed test. I was told that the satalite was congested, and that I would just have to deal with it. They were sorry. The best soultion they said would be to use it through the day. Well I am sorry, I have to work through the day to be able to pay this bill, for unusable internet

Below 1 mgps in park hill, mo. On Monday morning I had no Internet (6am) was told a beam was down & that I'd have Internet by the end of the day. I had Internet back by noon but at much slower than normal speeds. Since then I've not had speeds after 3pm above 1mbps. I meet my obligation & pay my bill on time every month! Exede should start rolling over data for these days of inadequate connection!

Hi Courtney,  I'm sorry the internet was down and I certainly understand how frustrating that was.  A good rule of thumb is to reboot the modem after an event like this. Here are the instructions.

The correct way to restart your wireless router and modem andcomputer (and yes, the order really does make adifference!)
Oftentimes, simply restarting everything canclear up the problem, so let’s take you through the correct steps to do thatbefore we try anything else:

REBOOT MODEM COMPUTER ROUTER

1) Power-down the computer connected to your modem.
2) Power-down the router (unplug it).
3) Power-down the modem (unplug it). Wait 2 minutes
4) If you have an Ethernet cable connecting your computer to the modem,disconnect it.  Then;
5) Make sure the Ethernet cable from the router is plugged into the back of themodem
*Note: Wireless routers do not require a cable connection to thecomputers they support.
6) Plug in the modem.
7) Wait until all LED lights on the modem are solid
8) Power-up the router.
9) Power up your computer

I hope this helps in the future.

Thank you... but I've done this step nearly 30k times. I currently called customer care 22 times since Monday, March 10th. I currently have an "open" ticket being worked on. Something has clearly happened within the network or equipment due to the large number of complaints. I am paying for 150 gb of data a month of speeds up to 25mg. I am not even getting 1mgps. I have kept my part of the contact! I pay my bill every month without question! I hope that excede offer's something due to this. My husband is in the military & is also a teacher. I have a child that need's the Internet to complete school assignments & I work from home. We chose exede from another competitor because of speed alone! However it doesn't look like exede can come through on their part of the deal.

I had excellent service with Centurylink TV with all channels including HBO etc. internet that allowed hubby , I and another to use Internet and a landline for a very good price. I moved to an outskirt of Fort Lupton /Hudson CO and Exede was actually the best choice, but now more people are assigned and well in the evening once we use our 12gb we cannot watch any form of video and Facebook may or may not load by the end of your cycle. Sometimes we barely get the original dial up speed, but sometimes not.

They've oversold their bandwidth and due to the "up to X Mbps" scam that internet companies like to pull they are technically giving you the service they said they would. It's only going to get worse until the new satellite comes up and then the cycle starts again.

It may technically be legal, but it is definitely not moral.  They deliberately mislead the customer and sell a product they cannot deliver.  I complained to my state AG office and they wrote a letter.  While making the sme old excuses, they offered to "forgive" half of the early termination fee.  They don't care about customers, they only want your money.

Robert  Spano we aren't talking about a higher data cap. Exede is now offering plans with "up to" 25 Mbps download speeds using a new modem/router.

1 is "up to" How does that help us that want to view/use internet during normal hours?

No modem or plan will improve congestion.  Exede must increase bandwidth to the individual customer instead of limiting the bandwidth available in order to sell service to airlines and other commercial customers.

Amazing how creative you can make "up to 25 Mbps" actually mean.

What I've resorted to doing now is going on Netflix or Amazon Video and downloading shows I want to watch before I leave in the morning, that way they'll download while speeds are fast enough and I don't have to worry about things getting so slow I can't watch them. It's very frustrating though, if it was USABLE I wouldn't complain so much but speeds at or below 1Mbps are unacceptable.

i tried this but sadly not eveyshow on netflix is downloadable. something has to be done. I cannot believe that exede keeps bringing customers in with false hope. nothing they promise is true, nothing except the price which they sure remind you of
