So rather than showing any concern, empathy, or give a crap about a customers concerns the moderators of this forum routinely edit titles of threads, move threads, and close threads with no explanation or reason?? Unreal, keyboard cowboys run amuck with their moderating powers.
As per our forum guidelines, we do this to allow for the forum to function as a self-help portal for the future (not unlike other forums like Apple for example). We will change titles to help with future searches. We close threads when the topic strays too far from the original post and move threads if a new topic is warranted. It's also worth noting that while the headlines of posts may be changed to better reflect what the post is about, the content of posts is never changed unless it contains profanity, personal identifiers such as email addresses or phone numbers, or something similar that violates the Terms of Service.
Regardless of what is changed, moved, or otherwise not notifying the OP is pretty rude. I've moderated forums much larger than this one and always notifies posters of changes made to their threads, always viewed it as common courtesy if nothing else.
