Direct TV pitched me Viasat and presented it as a bundle package. First and foremost Viasat has the worst hold times I have ever seen. My issue is that Direct TV gave me a price for Viasat and locked me into a 24 month contract. I was told my bill would not change and they sent me an email with my bill quote. My internet charge went from $80 to $110. I was never told there was a rental fee or an increase after 3 months. I asked 3 times. Now Direct TV tells me they have nothing to do with Viasat. I called Viasat and they said they don’t have control over what Direct TV quotes. These two companies partnered together but hide behind the fax that they are indeed separate. I work in a related field and this is nothing more than a deceptive sales tactic. If Direct TV is able to sign me up for Viasat without me ever speaking to Viasat, both companies should have to honor what takes place on those calls. I filed complaints with the FCC and FTC and made both companies aware. Neither one cared and refused to transfer me to a supervisor or an escalation department located in the US. They will have to answer the complaints once they get them. On another note my internet has be out for 7 days. A service tech can come from the hours of 8-5. I work and don’t have the ability to sit around and wait so I asked if they can come from 4-5 and they said they can’t promise. I was also told that they would waive the $95 service fee. Well isn’t that nice. You expect me to pay $95 for an issue with your equipment? I could understand if I damaged something but I have never heard of a company charging a fee to come fix a problem that has to do with their faulty equipment
