If you have Exede then this is the equipment that was installed, just with a different name on the Dish....Personal purchases and installations are not allowed, you must use Exede to install...and no mobile service is allowed...

wm4bama, That is not what you get on a consumer or business install! You get a .75 dish that looks like this https://goo.gl/rPnaS0 and a modem that looks like this https://goo.gl/9bpnwx

Steve Frederick, I know where Tooway is and what they do. I was using the equipment picture as a reference. Viasat uses the same equipment across their platform, as most providers do. I am just wanting to know if the enterprise setup can be subbed to the business plans or if it has to be on a different plan and or billing platform.

I have been a satellite installer for over 20 Years I was one of the first in Louisiana to install DirectPC in the late 90s and early 2000s. I have seen all providers require the better equipment be placed on classed plans. At one point it was quite common for us to use a Andrews 1.2M or 1.8M dish fitted with a universal BUC on a DPC4000 in order to get better service but maintain normal business MRC. Hughes required the rack mount equipment to carry a classed MRC that was not even listed on the website. It appears Exede / ViaSat may do the same as they have the ViaSat LinkStar platform.

I am only attempting to get my ducks in a row before I commit to something that I cannot deliver.

I have been a network engineer for a WISP for some time now and never got a Exede / ViaSat certificate. I did get a wildblue certificate 10 plus years ago but never installed one out side of the training class. I am currently awaiting my account to be activated so I can take the online CBTs in order to go to the hands on portion of the ViaSat Installers Training.

The plans for this system is to be installed in remote locations for a customer. I want the SurfBeam 2 Pro system as it can be rack mounted like this https://goo.gl/xf7x4A , The 1.2m dish also has more gain therefor less rain fade. When you couple the bigger dish with the way ViaSat does the conditional power control of the link it makes a rock solid connection.

I would like to thank both of you for your replies but I will wait for Exede to reply or wait for my equipment rep to contact me back as I sent him the same questions via email yesterday.

The equipment setup that I am looking for is currently in the last testing phase and is only available to dealers that meet the case study. I am currently working with Exede to install some of these systems!
