When we got IPhones we had to turn off the cloud. Is there anything I can turn off in the chromebook to keep my usage down? I will look in to the freedom plan but right now I get 10GBs/month.

That is the same plan I have. as far as turning anything off I don't think you can. These are chorme books they stay connected to the internet all the time they are on. I have 2 of them and I only use mine when ever I go to the library or to mc Donalds. Now I do use them when on LNFZ but I turn the wifi off after I do what I need to do.

That is a good idea thorneo. " I go to the library or to mc Donalds"

For myself, both the library and the local food joints WiFi's are 20+ miles away. But with a laptop, it would be an option.

Thanks for the idea.

I can't find the freedom plan, possibly not offered here in the NY Catskills. Still searching though. I hate the Iphones and the Ipad just about as much as I hate MS based garbage.

You might be able to go over to the Evolution plan if you want to stay online all the time. But remember that it will still use data all the while you are connected.

That's a shame Billy! My I Pad went in the trash when I saw what it was doing to what little hair I have left after this last IOS 8 update. MS is just as bad or worse with all their updates and planned obsolescence of programs and O/S.

It would be nice if someone would tell customer service so they could actually help troubleshoot customers who are having problems with data usage..
