I currently have a 15GB, 12Mbps download speed plan in 49615 area code. Can I upgrade to the new Freedome 150GB plan?
If so, do I need new equipment (router)? Since I am only at this zip code 8mo/year, can I change to the 12GB plan for the months I am not in the zip code, and then back to the 150GB plan for the 8 months I am in the zip code?

If the Freedom Plan shows up when you go to the Exede Portal, then you can switch to that plan. If you stay with the 12 Mbps speed, you do not need a new modem. Switching to the 25 Mbps Freedom Plan will require the new router with WiFi, at an increase in price.
You can switch to a less expensive plan whenever you wish, but be cautious about doing that, since you are only able to switch to whatever plans are being offered at the time you want to switch. The Freedom Plan is offered in limited areas, and subject to change at any time. If I had the chance to get the Freedom Plan, I would jump on it in a heartbeat, but it has never been offered in my area.

I believe even when you put your service on the vacation plan, you may not be able to go back to the plan you had if it is not available.? As Steve said, the Freedom plan is rare and almost a guarantee that it will not be available when you come back to it.

Just to back up with what Jim said on Vacation Plan, keep in mind that once you return from vacation plan you can only resume with what plans are available at the time. Vacation Plan is once per rotating 12 months and has to meet a minimum length.
