So thunderbird will not communicate with the POP/IMAP server again, apparently you guys have once again changed something without notifying those of use using standalone email clients.
This is tiresome.  Please attach the new settings, server address, port address, encryption type, etc so I can make the necessary changes.   again.

I haven't had any problems with those settings. No changes as far as I can tell.

Sorry to sound so upset, This is for my father's setup.  He lives in a very rural area, and his only option is WB.  They did a changeover on email last year, and it was a total fiasco.   Techs got into his computer to fix the problem, and ended up barking up the wrong tree at every turn and creating more problems until I was able to fix it.

I am using the exact settings as outlined on the website, nothing has changed, yet he cannot communicate with the email server.

He can use a browser and use the webmail interface, but he prefers Thunderbird.

Haha I just noticed I titled this POO, not POP.

Nothing has changed Thunderbird wise, he's not an updater unless I do it.
