I have had viasat for less than two weeks. If I want to cancel now will they charge me 15 for every month left on the contract? I haven't even had it 15 days.

Many people have expressed the same concern as yours over the past few months.
The possibilities range from your paying $15/month remaining to cancel, negotiating your way out, just not paying, to a class action suit.
I have not seen anyone give feedback on trying any of these options.
Keep us posted on your results.

Jacob, send an email with your account and contact information and, a detailed explanation of the issues that are causing you to want to cancel to viasatlistens@viasat.com. That email goes to corporate and, they will see what can be done to help you.

I'm thinking of cancelling too. I can't believe I'm paying twice as much for just internet and getting only a fraction of service. It's so slow, constant buffering, no images loading, or it says it can't connect. I had Wowway and Comcast prior to this. Wish they were available here. Don't know how many times I unplugged and replugged the router/modem.

As a side note to anyone else reading this that is not a customer, please do research prior to committing.

Satellite is internet of last resort (for now). If you have other options, unless you are an old man with three cats, you’ll be happier with any of those other options.

Satellite internet works. It just doesn’t work like terrestrial internet. Yes it beats dial up by a little (not latency though).

actually its a toss up between dialup and satellite, you must never have seen a bit of tweeking to a 128kbps dialup modem :) to bad they stopped makeing built in dialup modems where people could expierence it 1st hand, dsl was the best internet ever made in my opinion, sad they are phasing it out because it was harder to keep track of everything people were doing online.

I thought they were phasing out DSL because the copper line infrastructure in this country is crap and falling to pieces.
