What is the policy for canceling, after the contract period ends, before the end of the month? Is there a refund for that portion of the month that is no longer being serviced? Where are these policies stated?

Here is a link to the customer agreement. See section 4.3 for termination.

You will note that there is no prorated refund for any unused portion of the month you cancel.

Actually it doesn't matter when you cancel after contract they will try to get more moeny out of you. I canceled my service the day after the billing date and they are trying to make me pay for the whole month of service. Even though the service was down/not working prior 3days. They couldn't charge my card because there systems wouldn't save my updated card info. I had to update the same card every month when I'd pay my bill. So the contract does state they will not refund moeny already paid for month, No where in contract does it state you will be billed for canceling day after bill created for the whole month. I just recieved bill in mail if I don't pay 75.00 they will be sending it to collection agency. Which will ding my credit. My normal bill was 90 a month. When I canceled and they said I'd have to pay for whole month of service that I wouldn't have service I said no I wont. The rep sent up a ticket complaint to corporate for me. So when I got this bill I called back and they said corporate took $15.00 off. Oh how nice of them, to take 15 off of 90 that I don't even owe! So on the phone today again the rep said they'd message with corporate while we're on phone. Corporate said I sighned customer service agreement therefore I owe them the moeny. They also stated bill was already created so I owed it. Ok, so if excede/ viacriminal over bills someone $500 well that customers just out of luck because the bill was created? Give me a break. This is just a case of corporate greed trying to get moeny they are not owed. I should probably post this in its own conversation to warn others and let them know steps the can take to try an fight it.

Thanks, so much, Steve.  Interesting that we could cancel at mid-month and, yet, have to pay for a half-month's non-usage.  I guess it's just another 'fine-print' instance.
