I called on 11/13 to cancel service as TWC Cable came thru our area and obviously we switched (no brainer, no data limit). The gentleman I spoke to said he would give me a month free to not cancel at that time. I said ok even though I knew we wouldn't use it. I figured it was there, if something happened with the TWC we could revert back easily. I recently got a bill for 9.99 for equipment rental for the month I was given free. He did NOT tell me there would be any fee. I was completely under the impression the month was free or I would have canceled the service at that time, I had no reason to keep it. I just called Exede and pretty much all I heard was "I'm sorry ma'am, he was doing what he could to keep you as a customer", the woman couldn't comprehend what I was trying to explain....that if I knew there was a 9.99 fee I would have canceled as I wasn't using the service anymore. If you look at my account NO data was used the whole "free" month. Everything was already disconnected at our house. I'm not happy that I was charged 10 bucks and not told about it. Between that and the exorbitant data usage that could never be explained I'm tired of Exede. Always an excuse, never a solution.
