Regarding the high speed modem required for the 25Mb/s service. Will the service only work on your modem or is it possible for me to purchase my own name brand cable modem and use that to receive the service? If that is an option, what are the minumum requirements for a modem to be compatible for your service? Would I just need one capable of 25Mb/s speeds?

Cledus, you can not use any other modem for your satellite service. It has to be a Viasat Modem supplied and configured by Viasat.

Cable internet is nothing like Satellite internet, there is a lot more to providing service and, the modems are exclusive to Viasat for Viasat service. The need to be configured by a technician for your specific location. You need to have an install, or if your modem is not working, you need to contact Customer Care to get it looked into and, if needed, replaced.
