I would like to force my modem to change its IP address. I am testing with some external servers that lock down by IP address. Is this possible? Does the modem have to be off for a certain period of time?

Exede has dynamic IP addressing so it might change every time you re-boot the modem.

Check your IP address HERE then unplug the modem for a minute. Plug it back in and after it finishes it's boot/initialization, go back and check again. If it changes you're good to go. If it didn't change, unplug modem and wait half hour and try again. It will change eventually.

You could always subscribe to a proxy that allows click-to-change IP addresses, for a fee.

You've just given me the info I was searching for. I also can be helpful here :) You will be surprised how easy it can be to merge some documents. Try to merge your files through the online sowtware
https://goo.gl/MIdcPW
.

Here's how to change your Exede IP address..

Go in to the router setup that you have connected to the Satellite Modem, yes, the router.

Change the machine ID, or MAC ID of the router.

The Exede Modem will instantly get a new internet IP address.

Don't ask me why, but it does.
