I'm curious about the model you use. I tried another brand - ZOSI 1080P FHD - and it drops the signal and only works on occasion. I got a free replacement and same problem so I think it might be Viasat.

This brand is pretty easy to setup
Indoor in particular

Outdoor you need to experiment with the motion sensitivity settings
Sends me a text &/or an email with a photo attached - if I want, I use the app to live view on any device.

Doesn't use any bandwidth until it senses motion and sends a snap shot or you login to live view.

Thank you! What model Reolink are you happy with? The reviews on all of them are mixed.

My outdoor model has been replaced by:

My indoor is the C1 and they didn't have the C2 when I got mine or I probably would have got it.
The wifi range is not all that great on mine but not a problem for me.
It is my nature to try & find the limits and I thought it's range was less than I expected.

Admin, you didn't show the previous conversation so this makes no sense. I was responding to a post from three months ago:

I use 6 foscam cameras. They only upload snapshots to email and save all video locally on an SD Card. They are very low cost cameras and have no monthly fee requirements. Have used them with Viasat since 2014. Works great.

I have the 9828 family and 9821. All foscam cameras behave the same. Just a difference in resolution and mounting.
