I had my service go out three times in short succession this afternoon. I'm in Northern California (Santa Cruz area) and it's a beautiful, clear, sunny day. So I called support and they told me that there's a network outage because of severe weather. Made no sense but then they told me that my gateway is in Hawaii. Also makes no sense.What's more, the weather in Hawaii at the time was just "partly cloudy" with no severe weather - unless a chance of rain is severe. This doesn't pass the sanity check. Can it really be that California customers are served by a gateway in Hawaii? Is it really possible that a chance of showers is severe enough for service to tell me that our outage is weather related? Please help me understand.
