Why can't I keep Freedom plan after moving?

I'm moving but not cancelling my service and excede won't let me keep my freedom plan. Why do they want to make me switch to a liberty plan. I thought I was grandfathered in my plan.

Hi Brett. The Freedom Plan is only on a handful of beams. If you are moving outside of an area where Freedom is available you'd have to go with what plans are offered in your new zip code

Consider yourself lucky if you have another option for Internet.  Most satellite users don't.

Doesn't seem like you should have to switch plans. Can you take the dish with you and just install it at the new location? You'd need someone to aim it. I would guess that eXede has instituted a cap on new Freedom users, and so the plan doesn't show up as an option any more - I would keep calling back and asking for another rep until you get hold of someone who understands what's going on.
