beam congestion pre-check?

I wanna know how many people using the same beam in my location because yesterday I was getting good speeds n today is kinda poor zip code 39159

My guess is that you are in a heavily loaded beam. In checking the Viasat website, your zip code says that "Service may be available in your area, call to check on if you can get internet". hat is usually an indicator that your beam is at or near capacity. That is probably why you are getting such speed variances.

Sounds about right Steve. I had a phone call from one of the higher-ups out in Denver a few weeks ago due to one of my now famous spicely-worded emails I send out from time to time when the mood hits me. He explained to me how data usage and beam congestion are like a cliff. Speeds will be pretty good and then you get that straw that broke the camel's back and then things go into the toilet (my words, not his). That is why your speeds tend to be either pretty good or in the dumpster with little in between.
