Be careful when upgrading! It could be a downgrade in disguise! I've been a customer for about 2 and a half years starting with the liberty 50 plan and over the years upgrading to the 100 liberty and then the 150 liberty each comes with the priority data respective to their title. Each time I was pleased with the upgrade as I at least felt as though I received the the additional priority data that I paid for I understand that when my data is used up I go down to a snails pace , good only for websites that have no video or pictures. However with the addition of two teenagers to my home I found myself again running out of priority data 12-16 days before the bill cycle ended. Now I own 2 video game stores and I manage them and run them from my home office out in the country side. I keep an eye on them via wyze cams with audio running at 360p. So having enough priority data is of paramount importance for me to be and remain successful while staying home raising 3 children as a single dad. So I called in to viasat yesterday after speaking to a chat rep online and being advised that there were several new plans that I could benifit from. The only plan that I was recommended by both the chat and call center reps that did not require an equipment upgrade (which requires a new 2 year contract) I was the silver 25 plan. This plan is marketed as an unlimited plan and I was expressly told by the call center employee that, "there is no throttling after you reach the cap". Well that sounds great! The silver plan was the same price as my 150 plan, $150 per month! I was a little confused as you might be at this point but I'll help you guys understand what this rep was saying. She was saying that I am currently paying $150 for 150gb and then getting throttled down after I hit 150gb. But with this new plan I would be unlimited for $150 and never be throttled! Seems odd that these plans are even offered side by side right? Right! So the aweful call center rep, and she was rude by her shortness, tells me she has to read a disclaimer or service agreement outloud to me. So we at least know their recording this for themselves. Well I listen intently as I'm already suspicious and I catch it! She says in her speech that my new silver 25 unlimited plan has 120gb of data...huh? Thought this was unlimited? Well I'm a polite person so I allow her to finish and then ask her the question that must now be on all our minds. Why? Why did you say this plan has 120gb? She couldn't answer. Dead silence. So I continued.....Do you understand what I'm asking? Ummmm.....she answers. So now I'm really feeling the need to dig in and make sure I'm not making a mistake here. It's important for all of you reading this that you understand that part of rehearses pitch includes this statement, "you may not be able to switch back to a plan once you've changed your plan, do you understand?". Well I did and so I started digging. I explained to her that it seemed quite odd for them to be offering a plan being marketed as unlimited but then say something about 120gb. The marketing department would surely drop the 120gb from all the material if the plan was truly unlimited and un-throttled right? Her response,,,,,,,,,,wait fooooor iiiiiiitttttff..........so do you want the plan or not? Wow that's quite the explanation. I assumed she was just a really bad rep and the website say unlimited and doesn't mention throttling at any cap so I went for it. That was yesterday and my internet still works the same as it did with my other plan. So I basically I'm being throttled just the same as before and suspect that I will every month after 120gb cap. So I pay the same and lost 5mb worth of download speed from 30 to 25 (which I never got better than 13.2) but worse yet I lost 30gb of priority data but still pay the same. That's a whopping 20% of my monthly priority data! So let's be clear here guys, they do not offer unlimited and it is completely misleading to use the word in their marketing and even their call slcenter staff is trained to avoid any questions that will require them to admit it. They sell priority data period and that's the only data worth having with any satellite company. So don't be fooled, listen carefully. Don't assume you know what they say about assuming. I feel like an jack and they got me, I'm willing to bet another 20gb my old plan is no longer available, any takers?

I am not sure what all you said above, but there was never a Liberty plan above 50GB to my knowledge. So you lost me after that.

What plan are you on now?

Here is what a downgrade looks like. Note 480p being best option.
