Discount Double Check...

But you might want to throw an Accelnet Server in between Sanderson and Terrestrial Internet. The answer you seek as to which one, can be determined by a tracert google.com from the DOS command prompt assuming Windows. The Accelenet server is usually the 5th or 6th hop - it used to be the first easily recognized city in the address shown but is now (or so it would appear) the airport code for that city - caution, running tracert may require FAA approval now. The Accelenet Server (coupled with the modem's client) is where much of the Exede magic occurs. Click on the link below so I can take control of your computer and provide information regarding Accelenet:

I double dog dare, ya.

Accelenet Servers may serve more than one Gateway server... haven't figured that one out yet.

What does it do ?  Don't like trying things that I have no idea what it does.  I will admit that covers a awful lot of things.  But then I'm not too busy.

What does what do?

Accelenet Server? click on the link, it's safe and just does a Google search on Exede Accelenet Server. Too lengthy to describe here but is a critical part of the Exede infrastructure - think acceleration, packaging and compression.

Tracert? Simply traces the route you take from your computer to google, com. The 5th or 6th hop represents your Accelenet server. Don't worry about any request timeouts displayed nor the time needed to complete  - they aren't relevant in this case. Sometimes good to know when having problem.
