In the grand scheme of these companies most of the specials are directed at new sign up customers. Exede is really no different except that they do help out existing customers with an extra 5 GBs of data if you run out and have been a customer. I am not sure how often you can get the bonus gigs and have never used them. They also credit us with a free service call if there is a problem with your equipment. I just took advantage of this and they came and aligned my dish for much more stable signals.

I have always found the CS reps to be very helpful but I do practice a pleasant etiquette when I have a problem and I think they appreciate customers who are nice to them.

That's not exactly reassuring. I've had good luck with them despite what I seem to read. I do wish the jump from 10 to 15GB wasn't so pricey.

By all means... complain that your ISP is not offering promotional pricing and offers to existing customers. If successful, ViaSat's response will likely be no more promotional offers to new customers... feel better now?

How many of those of you that replued are either Exede representatives and/or are satisfied customers? Everytime I post something or even if I am just reading threads it seems most replies have a negative feeling and usually against Exede.

My comment is directed at Rene Moreno's faulty interpretation of Net Neutrality regulations not yet made public... or is it it Net Neutering?

Under Net Neutrality, freebies would likely go the way of the dinosaur and we all like freebies.

Rene apparently feels that the response to everyone's questions posted here is to simply complain to the FCC under the guise of "net neutrality" and regulations that have not been made public. I suspect that once they are made public, those cheering the FCC's ruling on Thurday may experience a "ruh-oh" moment. In short, Rene's simply spreading FUD. For now and since LNFZ is over for me, I have precious little bandwidth to waste on him.

However to answer your original question, the only promotion currently offered to existing subscribers (and only those who subscribed prior to the new plans in August and then subscribed directly through ViaSat) is the Great Gig Giveaway - aimed at addressing some of the perceived unfairness of the promotional offers to new customers.

There have been some rumored changes suggested by Exede Alex in March, however that was before he saw his shadow a few days ago indicating that there are at least six more weeks of winter remaining ;)

Welcome to the real world. Customers who are dissatisfied are much more likely to complain in a negative manner than those who are satisfied are to give positive praise.
I am happy to have Exede on my rooftop simply because there is no other alternative service worth having where I live.

I get frustrated Brian with exede sometimes but thats just normal when you are working with something that fluctuates as much as the internet. All in all and I have tried everything else exede is the best. You half to keep in mind a lot of the complaining is coming from the same few people with new nick's. Just pulling my chain I think. :)

Nicely put, Gary. With over 650,000 subscribers, if everyone who is not unhappy with their Exede service were to post just one comment in this forum, the website would crash and burn. This is typical in any comment forum, those who are unhappy with a product or service post their feelings, as they have every right to do, but those who are not having problems seldom comment. Just read the product reviews on any website, it follows the same pattern.

It is good to post if you feel you are having a problem. Many have come here and gotten some good advice, and problems solved, by the regular posters, who are just offering help gained by experience, and also by the very talented group of Exede Moderators available on here, and by contacting them by email at exedelistens@viasat.com

Most Exede subscribers have little choice for internet service other than satellite, or dial up if they are lucky.

Thank you guys for posting. (: Always a pleasure.

Brian, right now the only details to provide regarding anything new for all customers, is that we are hoping to roll out some new features here in the spring. I am not able to say what they are, other than all of our customers will enjoy. (:
