An idea that MAYBE will help viasat with there future satellite!!!

JIYA!!! >:3 as yall can tell by the title... I HAVE AN IDEA FOR VIASAT OF HOW TO MAKE THE CABLES ONTO THE GROUND MUCH MORE BETTER!!! :3 but... i dont know... if they will even consider it... i also think it MIGHT be IMPOSSIBLE to even do of what imma going to say... BUT!!! HERE IS MY IDEA!!! :3 BE PREPARED FOR A LONG LONG LONG ESSAY!!! :3 OR maybe it might be short or something... BUT!!! HERE I GOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! :3

ok... yall know how fiber internet is??? and with there cables are so fricking fast??? WELL!!! i was just thinking... IF viasat WAS able to get the cables that the fiber internet has... then... the fiber cables viasat can MAYBE!!! do some technical stuff to modify it to make it work onto the ground and with the dish outside the home :3 and stuff :3

BUT!!! HERE WHERE THE SATELLITE COMES INTO PLACE!!! :D aok... if viasat can get some technical stuff just like the fiber internet... THEN place the fiber cables/chips/motherboard/ect. (this also goes along with the modem too...) into the satellite of where its going to be built and stuff... but... they will HAVE to do some kind of testing of how the fiber cables react with the satellite onto the ground... BEFORE!!! they launch the actual satellite... BUT!!! once when they do all the testing onto the ground of how the satellite interacts with the modems that have the fiber cables and all that good tech stuff... THEN!!! viasat will send a little clip along with the satellite like they did with viasat-2 so once when it DOES reach its orbit... the video will automatically send the signal down to the base of where the company is located at... then... viasat will review the video to see if it works... if it does work... then... they will have to do some pre-testing BEFORE they are avaible to announce for it to be ready for services!!! :D

ALSO!!! OF WHAT THE IDEA ALL SUMMONS UP TO IS THAT!!! WITH VIASAT-3... WE WILL GET 1GBPS OF DOWNLOAD SPEEDS AND LIKE MAYBE 500MBPS OR 600MBPS UPLOAD SPEEDS!!! :D

THIS IS WHAT I TRULY AND AM CONFIDENT AND WILL SUPPORT VIASAT IF THEY WILL TAKE MY IDEA INTO CONSIDERATION!!! IF NOT!!! then... its aok at least i tried though... BUT!!! I SURE DO HOPE THEY CAN MAKE SOME NOTES AND STUFF!!! 

AT LEAST IVE TRIED MY BEST VIASAT!!! ILL KEEP THINKING OF IDEAS OF HOW YOU CAN IMPROVE YOUR GUYS SERVICES AND STUFF!!! THANK YOU FOR READING THIS VIASAT AND THE COMMUNITY!!! THANK YOU!!! ^~^

oh wow -_- i know your not fricking surprised at all -_- and i can tell by the way you said omg!!! i can read you like a book... well basically... i can ACTUALLY tell and sense that your trying to say to me... oh deku's idea wont even work!!! also how stupid can deku be!!! viasat wont take her idea at all!!! who does she think she is when it comes to the satellite and cables and so on... deku doesnt even know how it works and so on... i too can tell your laughing at me also -_- i know these types of people who type this kind of stuff... even though imma 24 yrs old... i know way too much about how people react to post and stuff... its pretty to easy to read people just by what they type also XD also... i know your going to deny what im trying to say cause you dont want to face the fact that what imma telling you is true... and stuff... just saying :)

That's sort of how it works now. Our TRIA (dish) in our yards send and receive to and from the satellite in orbit. The satellite then sends that signal to a ground station or Gateway and, from there the signal travels along the cable or fiber network to the website we request.

The only improvement would be if we eliminated the dish in the yard and went fiber to the gateways but then, it would just be another fiber internet company and, Viasat is REALLY into satellites. :)

Please take this as nothing more than feedback on your idea. Use it as constructive criticism that could be used to improve your idea!

If I understand correctly the idea is:

In their next gen satellite, instead of relying on copper/bronze/gold/titanium/whatever other metal wiring switch to fiber based. Ideally the same at the clients house too: fiber from the dish to the modem.

If this is true:
I’m sure you’ve done well enough research into how fiber optics work. Different colored lights being beamed through a glass wire, with repeating boxes along the way, and finally into the modem where the different colors of flashing light are translated into the bits that form the data. Fiber works so well and fast due to data compression one, but mostly that it stays “capsulated” within the lines itself from point A to B. The one “flaw” with upgrading satellite, dish, and modem is that you still have to beam up the data through some sort of radio frequencies. That right there eliminates the effectiveness of fiber optic cables. With FO you’re just dealing with light traveling and “no” interferences. Radio signals on the other hand are a vastly different wavelength which ultimately means slower transmission, possible interference between A (viasat’s servers) to B (satellite) and back to C (client dish). Now.... here is where you could hit a home run on the idea:

One thing to keep in mind is how cellular networks operate. For the most part the “same exact” radio frequencies that powered previous generations of 2G, 3G, etc are the “same” for 4G LTE/LTEa. The only difference is compression of data. Ie basically transmission is the same speed for the different technologies, it’s just the compression is so much better and that’s why speeds increase like they do over cellular.

Basically my whole babbling on can conclude with: fiber might not be the better way to go for multiple reasons, but finding the nicer combination of radio frequencies and compression algorithms would increase the speed so much! Again all of this constructive criticism to give you other ideas and feedback.

Maybe she thinks there is a quota thing here?  If there was one, any single post from her would qualify for a couple months.

Deku, you're fine.  ViaSat still loves you and always will.  How would they ever replace you?  Good Champions are hard to come by.  Heck, I think even Steven Rice is going to get Champion status again soon.

Not to be picky - but your dreaming.  We'll never see FIOS data speeds from a satelite 22+k miles away.  Even if Viasat3 or Viasatn for that matter will rely on radio frequencies to send/receive data transmissions to/from our modems and their respecitve gateways.  Noise for one caused by bad weather will force "retries" as well as it's respective customers sharing geographical data beams.  FIOS on the other hand has much less noise and can thus deliver higher data rates/throughput.  Viasat3, Viasat4, (...Viasatn) will continue to push the data throughput envelope but 1 GB/sec download speeds - not in my lifetime anyway.
