If you need one that will work on multiple browsers, and can block large media with a size you can specify as well as block advertisements and video, there is a relatively new one here.

it's easy to install and use and, it is easy on hardware resources as stated.

Ad Blockers are great.  I use one for Firefox and I loaded an e-bay page just now and it blocked 24 ads/junk on that one page.

It is amazing how  many things are included on webpages now that considered ads. I subscribe to my local paper online, and this morning AdBlocker Plus blocked 36 ads on the main page alone. I have been using ad blockers with all my browsers for years, certainly it is worth saving as much data as I can with the metered service.

just put an public DNS server settings to block viruses & ads.

Norton safe DNS settings. DNS 1 199.85.126.20 DNS 2. 199.85.127.200 add these setting on your exede Wi-Fi modem or on Windows or on your cellphone. In Windows go to control panel network sharing center go to adapters properties go to ipv4 use the following DNS servers.
