why do I lose internet access for 3 hrs. at a time while your doing so called maintainces why have unlimited for five hrs. and I lose 3hrs. of that time 3 times a month while you do the maintainces

On a few occasions in order to keep our product consistent and prepare for improvements and to fix potentially larger issues that could cause much significantly larger down-time maintenance is a requirement. Typically we schedule these during times that fewer people are online so the impact won't be as big as say if we were to do it on a weeknight at 7pm. This is something that all internet companies and TV providers have to occasionally do to maintain the product (not unlike how occasionally the highway will have roadwork from time to time to repave or repaint).
