This is very slow right. Anyone else experiencing these speeds at the moment? Specifically if you live in NY and on viasat 1? I live in central ny. My guess is everyone is just on it at the moment.

Perhaps on your beam. I am getting 4.5Mbps which isn't too bad given the day and time it is.

Regular. I imagine too many customers. You go on their website, vin my town they suspended new installations for now due to high demand. My guess is they oversold it.

That is never a good sign if you are on a beam where new subs are not being sold!

I am on a beam that has been closed for about 6 months now. Viasat shut the beam down early enough that it was not terribly oversold, I typically see speeds in the 17 Mbps range during the daytime, and between 5 and 8 Mbps during the evenings. Those speeds, even during the evenings, allow  me to stream HD shows without buffering, so I am very satisfied. I know this is not true on many of the other beams, which have severe speed drops during the evening.

I am on a 12 Mbps plan and never use all my priority data.
