15 GB exceded even when on vacation for a week...

We have the 15 GB package and come to the data limit 2 to 5 days before our renewal.If we go to the 25 GB package now will we be billed this month at the new rate of $129?Will our internet [speed]be restored now ,or at the normal renewal date?We were gone over a week on vacation and still exceeded our limit somehow?Red spectrum in our region doesn't have data limits ,your 15 GB package is touted as a small business family package,but its not...UGH!

Alan, there are many things ranging for automatic updates to background app refresh and, cloud drives being enabled that can use your data even if you are not actively using any of your connected devices.
You can email exedelistens@viasat.com and request a usage review to get a better idea of where your data was used.

When you change plans, it goes into effect almost instantly. Your accumulated usage for the month to date will be applied to the new plan. Your bill will be prorated for the days of service you had on each plan.

EXAMPLE: If you have used 15 GB and change to a 25 GB plan today, you will have 10 GB remaining until your billing date. If your billing date is 10 days from now, you will be billed for 20 days of your old plan and, 10 days of your new plan on your next bill. After that, you will be billed for the new plan plus any lease fees, Exede Voice if you have it, and, applicable taxes and fees.

Check your cell, All are set to refresh constantly. They have a setting to refresh only when you are using any app.
